You are cordially invited to join Women in Prayer of the Ohio Valley (WIP) in cooperation with Angels In Disguise (AID) for a Love Walk in Bellaire, Ohio on Monday, June 11. Men and women, young and old, are welcome to attend.
We are standing on the story of Healing at the Pool in John 5:1-14 in which Jesus tells the invalid man to “Get up. Pick up your mat and walk.” This summer, we are walking in a total of eight locations (which are posted below) in the Ohio Valley to seek God for healing and to bring love and peace to the community. Bellaire is the first city in Belmont County to have a Love Walk sponsored by WIP and AID.
During the Love Walk, we will not only be exercising our bodies, but we will also be providing love to the community along the way. Teams will include the Prayer Team, Litter Patrol, and the Love Team (which will be handing out items such as balloons or water bottles, provided by AID, to people along the way). Your team choice is completely up to you. A leader for each team will be appointed to answer any questions before beginning the walk. You may choose to join multiple teams, such as praying while you pick up litter, if you like.
We will begin the walk at the Eastern Division Court at 400 West 26th Street and walk to the Bellaire Park along Belmont Street. We will meet at 6:30 pm and leave around 7:00pm. You only need to bring yourself. A van, sponsored by Simpson United Methodist Church in Wheeling, will be available for those who want to participate but are unable to travel long distances by foot.
